Annual General Meeting

FREE HOT DOGS!

Annual General Meeting of the EUS will be happening on Wednesday, April 7th at 5:00PM. The financial statements from the previous year as well as an overview of what was accomplished will be presented. Questions will be welcomed on any part of these presentations. Motions from the floor will also be accepted, and free food will be provided! The meeting shouldn’t take much longer than 30 minutes, so come out for a bit and grab some food and drinks.

The incoming executive for the 2010/2011 year will also be introduced and will officially take their positions at this meeting.

This will all take place in first floor arts (ART 103) with hotdogs outside of the Arts building.

EUS Student Fee Referendum

The Engineering Undergraduate Society is hoping to hold a referendum this semester to determine whether engineering should implement student fees to go towards improving student life on campus.  In order to allow students to vote on this question, 60% of engineering students must sign petition that is currently being passed around through classes. If you have not gotten a chance to sign this and would like to, please stop by at the EUS table or at other E-Week events through out the week.

The information that is attached to the petition can be found under Resources > Student Fee FAQ. These documents outline what the money would be going towards if implemented, with a few overall questions and answers about the fee. We will also be hosting a consultation on Thursday, February 11th at 12:30PM on campus (location TBA).  If you have any questions about this, please post a comment on the website, send an email over to internal – at – ubcoengineers.com, and most importantly, show up to the consultation on Thursday to ask questions!
